The Essential Oils to use as Fragrances for Natural Hair Products
Updated: May 20, 2019
One of my favorite natural oil fragrances besides geranium is lavender, it can be costly but if used properly, it can make a wonderful blend. It is found in almost every product from skincare to baby products. Lavender has a soothing aroma and goes well with other oils, such as, chamomile. The essential oil not only soothes but can stop skin irritation especially if it’s applied on the scalp.
Ylang Ylang is an essential oil that is derived from a star flower and smells like a “fruity floral scent.” You can use this oil as a fragrance in almost any product from cologne, to beauty products, such as, shampoos and conditioners. Also. it reduces stress, treats hair loss and conditions the hair, who wouldn’t want this as their next favorite fragrance?
Jasmine is a flower that is a natural remedy, it has a floral scent that can be used in aromatherapy. For hair, it helps thicken the roots and fights off bacteria and fungi. (similar to lavender) Unlike other essential oils that may dry the scalp, jasmine oil is quite moisturizing, leaving your coils freshly cleansed with a natural shine.
